The Department of Information Management, Chung-Hua University, Taiwan, ROC has been an Oracle Academy member since 2005 to help provide their students with competitive and employable skills. The university has adopted Oracle Academy curriculum into their schools, allowing their students to gain Oracle DBMS knowledge and techniques within their formal college curriculum. Students who complete the courses are prepared to sit Oracle certification examinations for professional certificates to successfully start their professional career.
Dr. Lee, Chi-Chung, chairman of the Department said, “As of 2016, more than 2,000 students attending the University have taken the Oracle Database management courses. Eight hundred sixteen of them have achieved Oracle DBMS certifications, including 93 Oracle DBA OCP, 261 Oracle DBA OCA, and 462 Oracle SQL OCE. We really appreciate Oracle Academy to help us reach this remarkable achievement.”
Dr. Yu, Kun-Ming, Dean of the College said, “In accordance with the career survey conducted in August, 2014, 70% of college graduates with Oracle DBMS certifications are currently engaging in IT related work. The average monthly salary is NT$40,000 dollars which is much higher than others. The employing companies are mainly located at Hsin-Chu Science Park, the pioneer high tech science park in Taiwan, including Taiwan Semiconductor Co., Ltd. (TSMC). We believe that students with Oracle DBMS certifications indeed have real advantage in their career development.”
